The fantastic Debuts Blogathon, co-run by
Three Rows Back
and
Terry Malloy’s Pigeon Coop, asked for film bloggers to review the first films
from filmmakers they admire. I chose to discuss David Gordon Green’s tiny (and
best) movie,
George Washington. The
link below directs you to my post about the film, where I critique the film
itself, and inquire as to whether or not the David Gordon Green I love is in fact,
back.
Damn, reading this really made me want to revisit this film. I haven't seen this one in years. Thanks for the inspiration to return to it good sir!
ReplyDeleteGlad it could drive you to check it out again! I love this little movie. So unique, so strange, so perfect.
DeleteThanks again for getting involved in the blogathon Alex, great to have you on board!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! GREAT idea for a blogathon.
DeleteGreat post! I MUST watch this in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThanks man! This is a great one.
DeleteSuch a great film.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that David Gordon Green seems to be back on the right path again. I will be checking out his new film, Joe, at TIFF in a few days.
Oh man, enjoy it. I can't wait to see that flick. DGG is back!
